ZOLL AED Plus Duracell Battery notice

ZOLL recommends using Duracell Coppertop CR123-style batteries (DL123ABKM) with the ZOLL AED Plus. However, customers should use only batteries manufactured in the US. Duracell now produces batteries in both the US and China, and while the batteries may look similar, they can perform differently. Batteries made in the US are labelled 'Made in USA' on the battery cell label, while batteries made in China are labelled 'Made in China'.

Why can’t I use the ‘Made in China’ CR123 batteries for my ZOLL AED Plus?

Using 'Made in China' CR123 batteries may not be suitable for the AED Plus, as they may have a different chemical composition than those made in the US. Therefore, ZOLL only supplies and approves the use of Duracell batteries made in the USA, which are also one of the approved batteries in their device Admin Guide.

Customers should buy replacement batteries from the distributors of their AED or directly from ZOLL. If you're sourcing the batteries locally, ensure that the batteries are 'Made in USA'. Medisol only sells the 'Made in USA' version of the CR123 Duracell batteries.
