How to clean a CPR manikin?

Cleaning a CPR manikin is essential to maintain hygiene and ensure safe training practices. Start by removing any disposable parts, such as lung bags and face shields, according to the manufacturer's instructions. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent to wipe down the exterior surfaces, focusing on areas that come into contact with participants, like the mouth and chest. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasives that could damage the manikin. Rinse the cloth with clean water and wipe again to remove any soap residue. Allow the manikin to air dry completely before storing it in a clean, dry area. Usually you can also conveniently wipe down the manikin with a desinfecting wipe. Regular cleaning not only extends the life of the manikin but also promotes a safe and healthy training environment. Please note that this information is general, and you should always consult the instructions for your specific CPR manikin to learn how to clean it.
