The Nihon Koden Cardiolife electrodes can be used with adult patients. The correct placement of the electrodes can be found on the packaging.

Shelf life of the Cardiolife electrodes

The shelf life of the Nihon Kohden Cardiolife electrodes is approximately 1.5 years. The electrodes have a shelf life related to the conductive gel. This can dry out over time. As this can have negative consequences at the time of a deployment, the electrodes cannot be used after the expiry date. Therefore, always make sure to keep a pair of unopened electrodes with the AED.
